Gran Canaria Swim Week by Moda Cálida

The Moda Cálida show is considered the most important catwalk in Europe, being the only swimwear professional . This event was created and promoted by the Department of Industry, Commerce and Crafts of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria with the collaboration of IFEMA Madrid.

During their parades, well-known brands stand out at a national level, such as Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada or Dolores Cortés, and international brands such as Ankedot or Copenhaguen Cartel.

Eco-friendly Philosophy

This year, the event was oriented towards the sustainable development of the fashion sector . Its objective is to make companies and consumers aware of the importance and impact that their actions can have on the environment. To do this, they invite them to bet on an ecofriendly philosophy that they can introduce from the material from which the fabrics are made to the packaging of the product itself.

The most creative and colorful edition

After analyzing the show, we have noticed several trends. First of all, we highlight the horizontal or vertical stripes (mainly in swimsuits), and even the combination of both in the form of a collage.

Secondly, metallic colors predominate and even more so if we combine them with some plain ones to make them contrast. For example, sequin prints or silver or gold fabrics, like Quelton's bikinis!

Finally, the trend called " cut out " in which a part of the garment is cut to reveal the figure of the woman and highlight her curves. This trend is also applicable to dress and even pants.
